The Fonseca White Port unites notes of mild fruit in its bouquet, along with nuances of honey and oak. This blend, consisting of the Arinto, Boal (Semillon), Codega, Esgana Cão, Folgasão, Gouveio, Viosinho and Rabigato grape varieties, is full-bodied and velvety on the palate, with a long, aromatic finish.

The individual grape varieties matured separately for three years in oak casks, resulting in a wonderfully multi-faceted blend. You do not have to decant this port wine before drinking it. Serve it slightly chilled or at room temperature. The Fonseca White Port is lovely on its own as an aperitif or as a dessert wine. It will be a fine accompaniment to salted almonds or olives if you enjoy it before eating.
