Die Negroamaro-Traube im San Marzano Sud Salice Salentino ist so etwas wie der Star unter den regionaltypischen Rebsorten aus Apulien. Kräftig und überzeugend wird sie in dieser Assemblage mit Malvasia Nera vereint, damit das Gesamtbild harmonisch und trotz starker Tannine weich am Gaumen ist.

Das Bouquet des dichten roten Weins zeigt sich mit intensiver Frucht, Pflaume und Kirsche dominieren hier. Anklänge von Kräutern sind typisch für Apulien. Im Mund findet sich ein tiefes und facettenreiches Spiel von Tanninen und Säure wieder, das vom Geschmack der Pflaume begleitet und durch Schwarzkirschen abgerundet wird. Der lange Abgang vollendet mit Nussessenzen den körperreichen Charakter.

Auf dem Tisch sollte dieser Wein aus Italien mit kräftigen Speisen kombiniert werden. Reifer Hartkäse, gut abgehangener Schinken und Schmorgerichte bieten die nötige Aromenvielfalt. Trinken Sie ihn dekantiert bei einer Temperatur von 16 bis 18 °C.
