Das faszinierende Bukett vereint intensive Noten von roten Früchten, Tomate, schwarzer Olive und holländischer Lakritz mit feinen balsamischen Tönen. Dazu kommen Noten, die an Tiramisu oder Mascarpone erinnern, Düfte von frisch gerösteten Haselnüssen und Kaffeebohnen.

Am Gaumen mit unwiderstehlicher Tiefe, voll und fleischig, mit vollendeter Struktur. Auf der Zunge mit merklichen, samtigen Tanninen. Der Penfolds Grange 2014 wurde 20 Monate in neuen amerikanischen Eichenfässern ausgebaut. Die Komposition aus 98% Shiraz und 2% Cabernet Sauvignon besitzt eine grooooße Länge.

Ein Grange, der die Genießerin oder den Genießer von der ersten Sekunde an in seinen Bann zieht und auf unvergessliche Art transportiert, was die Böden Südaustraliens und die Rebsorte Shiraz hervorbringen können.

The Penfolds Bin 407 Cabernet Sauvignon is an exceptional example of this: the nose reveals a fascinating multi-faceted bouquet with notes of cassis, black currants, pepper and black olives as well as cocoa, mocha and walnut, complemented by delicate hints of oak due to twelve months of aging in French and American oak casks. Ein „Icon“ Wein ist die Bezeichnung für einen Wein, der über Jahre eine Ausnahmestellung einnimmt. Und genau das hat der Kanonkop Black Label Pinotage geschafft. Dieser südafrikanische Pinotage kann wohl mit Recht behaupten etwas ganz Besonderes zu sein. Die Trauben stammen von 63 Jahre alten Bushvine Reben, so bezeichnet man die Reben, die in Buschform in Südafrika wachsen. Ein ganz natürlicher Rebenwuchs also, beim dem der Winzer nur durch Beschneiden in die Natur eingreift. Die Reben gedeihen auf trockenen Böden, die geprägt sind von zersetztem Granit und verwittertem Gestein. Der Ertrag pro Hektar ist mit 2,8 Tonnen äußerst gering, was für eine hohe Komplexität im Wein sorgt.Die Fermentation erfolgte in offenen Betonbehältern. Die Maische wurde alle 2 Stunden manuell zusammengedrückt und der Saft wurde nach 3,5 Tagen von den Schalen abgezogen. Die Reifung fand für 18 Monate in 100% neuen französischen Barriquefässern statt. Dadurch erreicht der Kanonkop Black Label Pinotage komplexe Aromen von Schwarzkirsche, Pflaume und dunkler Schokolade mit einem Hauch von Zeder in der Nase. Am Gaumen ist er voll mit samtiger Tanninstruktur und Noten von roten und schwarzen Früchten. Das Finish ist langanhaltend und intensiv.

The main differences are that the Les Forts de Latour has a higher percentage of Merlot (25-30%) and it matured in oak casks, of which 50% were new barrels.The Les Forts de Latour 2011 is a deep, dense purple in the glass. Fruitiness and floral notes characterize its bouquet. On the palate, the wine is sumptuous and velvety, with a complex, powerful and prolonged finish. Bordeaux expert René Gabriel writes about this assemblage consisting of 61.5% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, 3% Petit Verdot and 0.5% Cabernet Franc: “This wine has a brilliant, baroque, quite warm Cabernet bouquet hinting of coffee and dark precious wood, with an amazing depth.” Robert Parker judges: “One of the finest second wines now being made.”
