Only 853 bottles of this expressive Cabernet Sauvignon were filled - vinified exclusively in outstanding vintages and from the estate's best vineyard: Block 1, planted in 1999. A real collector's item for lovers of strong, storable red wines from South Africa.

The selected grapes were processed gently - after a one-week cold maceration in stainless steel tanks, malolactic fermentation was carried out in barrels. The wine matured for 24 months in French oak, giving it structure, depth and elegant spice.

The wine impresses with its velvety texture and finely nuanced aromas: blackcurrant (cassis), cedar wood, pencil shavings and dark spice characterize the bouquet. Powerful on the palate, but always balanced, with present tannins and a long, mineral finish.

Each limited release from La Bri has a matching flower - in this case the Watsonia alba, a symbol of strength and purity. Like the flower, so is the wine: pure, powerful and impressively elegant. Awarded 94 points in the Platter Wine Guide - an exclusive Cabernet Sauvignon with depth and class.

Ideal with matured beef, lamb chops, game dishes or a hearty mushroom risotto.

Das Boutique-Weingut La Bri liegt eingebettet in das historische Franschhoek-Tal – eine der ältesten und charmantesten Weinregionen Südafrikas. Gegründet im 17. Jahrhundert, verbindet La Bri heute reiche Tradition mit modernem Weinhandwerk. Der Name „La Bri“ stammt vom französischen Wort „l’abri“, was „Zuflucht“ bedeutet – eine Anspielung auf die hugenottische Geschichte der Region.

La Bri steht für charaktervolle, handgefertigte Weine mit unverwechselbarem Ausdruck des Terroirs. Die Reben gedeihen auf sonnenverwöhnten Hanglagen mit fruchtbaren, gut drainierten Böden – ideale Bedingungen für Rebsorten wie Shiraz, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon sowie Chenin Blanc und Chardonnay. Jede Flasche erzählt von Sorgfalt, Präzision und dem Streben nach Balance und Eleganz.

Ein besonderes Merkmal: Jede Weinsorte ziert ein eigenes botanisches Motiv – eine Hommage an die einzigartige Flora des Kap-Weinlands. The Sauvage La Bri Cap Classique is an artisan Blanc de Blancs made from 100% Chardonnay, which shows the power and elegance of the South African sparkling wine tradition in its purest form. Only 1150 bottles of this special vintage were produced - each individually numbered by hand.The Chardonnay grapes come from La Bri's oldest vineyard (planted in 1991) and were carefully harvested by hand on February 12, 2018. After careful whole cluster pressing, the must fermented in four old French barriques. After 3 months of barrel maturation, the base wine was bottled and crown-corked with liqueur de tirage to start the second fermentation in the bottle.Particularly impressive: the wine matured for 71 months on the lees ("sur lie") - a clear sign of quality and patience. As a Brut Nature, it was disgorged without dosage and thus retains its natural freshness and structure.In the glass, Sauvage La Bri Cap Classique has a fine perlage and complex aromas of toasted bread, dried mushrooms, citrus zest and mineral notes. The palate is taut, straightforward and precise with a refreshing, long finish.The label is adorned with the delicate Serruria florida, also known as the "Blushing Bride" - a tribute to the origin of the grapes and the romance of the moment. The name "Sauvage La Bri" charmingly alludes to the French word for "wild" and the art of sabrage. Each bottle is a real collector's item.Ideal with oysters, ceviche, scallops or goat's cheese with citrus flavors. It also reveals its full potential with tempura or sashimi.A vintage Cap Classique for true connoisseurs - strictly limited and masterfully vinified.

With only 1064 bottles worldwide, this La Bri Syrah "1064" from Franschhoek in South Africa is a real rarity. The wine comes from a single vineyard with particularly low yields and impresses with its aromatic depth, intense spice and remarkable structure. A highly rated Syrah with 94 points in the Platter's Guide - expressive, limited and storable.The grapes for this wine were carefully selected from a single vineyard on the La Bri estate. After a one-week cold maceration, fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks. Malolactic fermentation and 24 months of ageing in French oak (partly new) ensure a complex, powerful yet elegant wine.The aroma of La Bri Syrah "1064" is intense and multi-layered. Ripe dark berries, fine dark chocolate, cloves and Mediterranean herbs dominate the bouquet. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, juicy and structured with a long finish and fine spice.Like all limited release wines from La Bri, this Syrah also bears a floral symbolism. The inverted representation of the flower "Herbae" (herbs) reflects the wildly aromatic nature of this wine - a foray through the herb garden in liquid form.Perfect with rack of lamb with herb crust, braised game, ratatouille or mature hard cheese.Maturation potential: 8-10 years

The La Bri Barrel Select Chardonnay from Franschhoek in South Africa comes from a strict barrel selection and impresses with its multi-layered aromas and impressive finesse. Already awarded the highest rating of 5 stars in Platter's Wine Guide several times, this wine shows once again that the interplay of terroir, low yields and precise cellar work can produce great wines.The grapes were harvested by hand. After a night in cold storage, the whole grapes were gently pressed. After pre-clarification, the must was transferred to 600-liter French oak barrels (half of which were new), where it fermented and matured for 11 months. This careful vinification gives the wine its fine woody spice, structure and depth without losing its freshness.In the glass, La Bri Barrel Select Chardonnay reveals an elegant interplay of fresh citrus fruit, juicy stone fruit notes and fine minerality. Creamy but focused on the palate, with animating acidity and a long, taut finish. The style remains precise, lively and clearly structured - a prime example of modern South African Chardonnay.The stylized Clivia miniata, also known as a buttercup, adorns the label - it symbolizes the fresh, radiant character of this wine.A perfect accompaniment to scallops, roasted poultry, lemon risotto or fresh goat's cheese.

The ‘Barrel Selection’ line from the Salentein winery comprises pure varietal wines whose vines grow in vineyards situated between 1050 and 1700 metres above sea level, irrigated by the clean meltwater from the Andes mountains. The stony soils protect the vines from excessively cool temperatures at night. During the day, the hot climate and lots of sunshine form the ideal basis to create wines that wonderfully reflect the characteristics of the terroir of the Uco Valley. Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay vines as well as the pure varietal Malbec are cultivated here.The Salentein Barrel Selection Malbec is an intense, slightly purplish red in colour. It is complex on the nose, offering an abundance of red fruit and black berries as well as light floral notes. Each sip softly caresses the palate with lots of fruit and a delicate sweetness. The finish is long and very smooth. This Malbec is fresh and fruity, with a lovely intensity.We recommend drinking it at a temperature of 16 °C (60.8 °F).
