The quality of the sweet wines from the Sauternes region is legendary. In fact, the first sweet wines are said to have been produced in this region in the middle of the 17th century. Based on this unique wealth of experience, the Chateau de Malle estate offers sweet wines of distinctive quality. The 2005 vintage is a shining example in this respect.
The Chateau de Malle 2005 is a brilliant yellow in the glass. Bordeaux expert René Gabriel judges: “The bouquet offers aromas of ripe yellow fruit, intense honey, enhancing botrytis and delicate, floral notes as well, complemented by subtle hints of fresh camomile. On the palate, this wine is sumptuous and creamy, showing an unprecedentedly fat, almost oily body. This Rubensian Sauternes is mouth-filling and – in a comparable sense – a lush Beerenauslese (late-harvest wine)!”
The Chateau de Malle 2005 – an unparalleled sweet wine.
