Der Most vergärt und reift 6 Monate lang in amerikanischer Eiche. Lediglich 50% des Chardonnays machen den biologischen Säureabbau, so bleibt er besser frisch und körperreich. Growing in vineyards located about 80 kilometres northwest of Santiago and just 30 kilometres as the crow flies from the Pacific Ocean, the vines benefit from a mild, maritime climate without sudden temperature changes, allowing the grapes to ripen in peace and preserve their juicy fruit aromas. In comparison to the vineyards situated further to the south, the grapes from the Casablanca Valley show slightly higher acidity, giving the Chardonnay a wonderful balance of aromas, alcohol and acidity.The Escudo Rojo Chardonnay is an ideal accompaniment to fish and seafood - grilled, roasted and with creamy sauces.
