The Barossa Region is known for its viticulture and wine making. At its heart is the valley floor, a rich strip of land exposed to the driest conditions and home to some of the most select Shiraz vineyards of the area.

The ‘Valley Floor Shiraz', like other premium wines of the Barossa, is a regional blended wine. Grapes are sourced from specially selected vineyards across all the sub regions of the Barossa from a range of different aged vines, select parcels of which are then open fermented and basket pressed to make this classic example of honest, hand made Barossa Valley Shiraz.

Founded in the 1840s, the Barossa is one of Australia’s oldest premier wine regions. Shiraz is the cornerstone of the region’s fame. Langmeil Steadfast Shiraz Cabernet has a medium depth crimson-colour with purple hues. On the nose juicy raspberries, ripe Satsuma plum and white pepper dominate. They are complemented by hints of vanilla, licorice and peppermint. On the palate a well balanced mouthful of sweet, juicy fruit, melding wonderfully with briary and peppery spice. Our Cabernet Sauvignon, the unsung hero of Barossa wine, has been matured in new (20%) and seasoned (80%) French Oak for two years, achieving the structure, depth and balance expected from this premium Australian grape growing region.In 1838 a 32 year old Blacksmith, Christian Auricht, arrived in South Australia from Prussia with his wife and four children. He subsequently settled in the new hamlet of Langmeil and built a smithy, around which grew the trading centre of the village.

Langmeil 'Three Gardens' SMG Shiraz Mataro Grenache

The ‘garden' was how the old Barossa vigneron referred to his vineyard. Our Three Gardens in Nuriootpa, Lyndoch and Seppeltsfield, yield a fine red blend with a distinct Barossa style and complementary characteristics.The blend of Shiraz, Grenache and Mourvèdre and some Carignan and Counoise shows good balance and integrated structure. It has full, ripe fruit, supported by firm but fine tannins. The overall flavours and cherries and blackberries, with hints of mokka and spice.

Langmeil 'Orphan Bank' Shiraz

Der Langmeil Orphan Bank Shiraz ist einer der besten Rotweine von dem Weingut Langmeil. Dieser trockene Wein ist perfekt geeignet für Feinschmecker, die möglichst wenig Süße im Wein schmecken wollen. Im Bouquet des australischen Rotweines finden sich Noten von Brombeeren, Heidelbeeren und Pflaumen kombiniert mit Vanille, Bitterschokolade und Zimt. Im Glas zeigt der besondere Wein eine leicht dunkle rote Farbe. Wenn er erstmal am Gaumen angelangt ist, entfaltet dieser Wein seine fruchtige Seite. Im Abgang wirkt dieser Shiraz würzig.Die Herkunft des Weines liegt in Australien, in der Region Barossa. Dort werden die Reben per Hand ausgelesen und sofort gepresst.Der Langmeil Orphan Bank Shiraz ist ein reinsortiger Shiraz, der sich am besten mit Gemüse oder Rinderfrikadellen essen lässt. Camberley Shiraz

Die produzierte Menge ist in jedem Jahr stark limitiert. Die rubinrote Farbe zeigt schon die ganze Power, die in diesem Wein steckt. In der Nase finden sich reife rote Früchte, wie Schwarzkirsche und Pflaume. Begleitet von weißem Pfeffer und einem Hauch Röstaroma. Am Gaumen überzeugen schöne Kaffeenoten, Mokka und deutliche Vanille, ergänzt um schwarze Maulbeere. Der Camberley Shiraz ist von großer Struktur mit festen Tanninen, die kräftig aber wunderbar geschliffen sind. Ein voller eleganter Wein, der im Abgang sehr lange nachwirkt.Der Camberley Shiraz passt hervorragend zu dunklem Fleisch oder einem T-Bone Steak.
